On Friday 26th April, WE Rent took time out alongside the Western Canada Turfgrass Association to contribute towards the annual Patrick Dooley Memorial Golf Tournament at the Hazelmere golf and tennis club in Surrey, BC.
This event was hosted in memory of Patrick “Pat” Dooley. A talented young golfer, Pat aspired to join the KPU Turf Management Diploma program after graduating high school. Unfortunately, he had succumbed to a sudden illness before he could have the opportunity to live out his dreams and pursue his goals. Last year’s event raised $10,000, benefiting scholarships for KPU Turf Management students, and supporting the WCTA Turfgrass Research Fund.
We’re thankful to everyone who was in attendance during the golf tournament and happy to be part of a local initiative working on helping future generations realize their ambitions.
